Rules for our Hendrick’s cucumber growing fundraising event for The Drinks Trust


Introduction

  1. These are the rules for our Hendrick’s cucumber growing fundraising event for The Drinks Trust.

What is the event?

  1. The event is a chance for you to help us raise money for our hospitality heroes in the UK by growing cucumbers in your own homes.

How does it work?

  1. Participants in the event will each receive a pack of cucumber seeds and instructions on how to grow cucumbers at home.
  2. Provided participants in the event share photographic proof of the same, by tagging us @hendricksGYOC on Instagram, we will make a donation to the Drinks Trust of:
    1. £10, for their first cucumber sprout;
    2. £20, for their first cucumber flower; and
    3. £30, for their first cucumber.
  3. Each participant in the event has the opportunity to raise a total of £60 for the Drinks Trust.

Who can enter?

  1. The event is open to anyone who is:
  2. a resident of the United Kingdom;
  3. over the age of 18 years old only (proof of age may be requested); and
  4. is either:
    1. an employee of William Grant & Sons UK Limited (Promoter), or any company within the same group of companies as the Promoter, and their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally associated with the Promotion (Associates); or
    2. working in the hospitality trade.
  5. The maximum number of participants for the event is capped at a total of 167. The participants in the event will be the first 167 participants to successfully apply to take part in the event, in accordance with these rules. 

How to apply to be a participant in the event?

  1. Simply insert your details into the registration form found at https://hendricksgyoc.eventreference.com/register.php?k=7f27f13db342b9f03e35d6b749f01a41130595dc%3Aae3f13442f77ef5fc5cc9f1ca7fd356ed6158815& for the event (Registration Form) and click submit.
  2. No purchase is necessary to enter the event.
  3. Only one entry per person is allowed.
  4. Any third party entries, multiple entries or entries submitted by agents will not be accepted.

Donations to the Drinks Trust

  1. The Promoter will make a donation to the Drinks Trust based on how successful participants in the event are at growing cucumbers in their own homes.
  2. Provided participants in the event share photographic proof of the same, the Promoter will make a donation to the Drinks Trust of:
    1. £10, for their first cucumber sprout;
    2. £20, for their first cucumber flower; and
    3. £30, for their first cucumber.
  3. Each participant in the event has the opportunity to raise a total of £60 for the Drinks Trust.
  4. Therefore, there is a total potential donation of £10,020 by the Promoter to the Drinks Trust available in total for the entire event.
  5. In addition, whilst it is not a condition of taking part in the event, the Promoter strongly encourages all participants to raise additional funds for The Drinks Trust by getting their friends and family to sponsor their cucumber(s), via a Just Giving Page, with all donations going to The Drinks Trust.
  6. All William Grant & Sons employees’ donations raised as part of the event, will be double-matched by William Grant & Sons’ Matched Giving Scheme, up to £5,000.
  7. William Grant & Sons’ will donate a further £5,000 to the Drinks Trust in support of the event, as part of the Stand Fast Campaign.

What is the closing date?

  1. The closing date for Registration Forms to be received by the Promoter is 23:59 on 31.03.21 (UK time).
  2. The Promoter’s decision about whether a Registration Form has been received in time will be final.

How will the participants in the event be chosen?

  1. The maximum number of participants in the event will be a total of 167. The participants in the event will be the first 167 participants to successfully apply to take part in the event, in accordance with these rules.  If less than 167 participants successfully sign up for the event, the total number of participants will be the total number of participants to successfully apply to take part in the event.

How will final amount donated to the Drinks Trust be notified to participants in the event?

  1. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to notify the participants in the event by email before 23:59 on 31.06.21 (UK Time) of the total amount donated by the Promoter to the Drinks Trust.

Your privacy

  1. The Promoter will only use personal data submitted by entrants in accordance with its Privacy & Cookies Notice at https://www.hendricksgin.com/uk/privacy/.

Your photographs and name

  1. As a condition of taking part in the event, you agree to the Promoter publishing your name and the photograph(s) of your first cucumber sprout, cucumber flower and cucumber during and after the event, for publicity purposes. 

Promoter

  2. The Promoter's decision on all aspects of this event is final.

The Promoter has the right to not make a donation to the Drinks Trust based on any submission by a participant where it reasonably believes the submission has been falsified or the participant has otherwise cheated or broken any of these rules.
